A Blog Post About The Creative Writing Process

I participated in a discussion online last night about what writers want to read on other writers’ blogs. There were many suggestions, ranging from bits of flash fiction to press releases to the intimate details of their daily lives.

One of the suggestions, of course, was the creative writing process. One writer, Lisa V Tomecek, does seriously blog about this.

I haven’t the energy or the guts to bore you textually with my writing process. Honestly, about 68% of it is moaning about writing on Twitter, 15% is hating other writers on Facebook, 15% is reading other peoples’ books, and 2% is finally getting down to business and actually writing.

So, in place of words, here is a photographic account of what my writing life is like, from a typical night (this was Tuesday, August 20th 2013).
